Oliver es un director que se destaca por su gran versatilidad. Maneja muy bien tanto la comedia, como el suspenso y piezas que tocan la emoción.
Ha recibido premios en el Ojo de Iberoamérica, Campanas de Oro, Desachate y Effies. Fue de los directores más premiados en 2012 y 2013 en Uruguay y es el Mejor Director del Uruguay en el Ojo 2015.
Actor de formación, se luce por la manera en que construye personajes y maneja actores y no actores. Dirigió el comercial más visto mundialmente en la historia de la publicidad uruguaya. Allí se destaca por hacer actuar a un jugador de fútbol (Luis Suárez) como si fuera un gran comediante.
Además de poseer un amplio sentido estético que adquirido en facultad de arquitectura, Oliver construye magistralmente la narrativa logrando piezas memorables y que llegan al espectador.
Trabaja en distintos mercados de Latinoamérica tales como México, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Perú y naturalmente Uruguay. Su capacidad para hacer actuar a no actores lo ha llevado a dirigir a una gran cantidad de deportistas, periodistas, músicos y personalidades mediáticas.
En su tiempo libre es paracaidista y ha filmado varios comerciales en el aire.
